About Me: Cultivating Sustainable Beauty and Wellness, One Garden at a Time
As a certified professional in various aspects of sustainable horticulture, gardening, and floral design, I believe that nurturing green spaces not only enhances mental well-being but also contributes to the vitality of communities.
The transformative experience of becoming a mother and discovering my own neurodivergence led me to rediscover the beauty and healing power of nature through gardening. This personal journey not only improved my mental wellness, it inspired me to advocate for the reintegration of nature into everyday life.
I am deeply driven by a passion for community-run food security, and am committed to empowering individuals to cultivate their own sustainable food and medicinal sources while creating biodiverse habitats for pollinators and wildlife. These postage stamps of habitats that we create are essential to the balance of our ecosystem. Our gardens provide so much that we are usually unaware of!
Ultimately, I aim to inspire everyone to reconnect with themselves and their loved ones through their natural environment; and play a role in creating a more sustainable and biodiverse world.
I currently work part-time as a Landscape Specialist for a local Chicagoland area conservatory where I get to be outside ALL DAY and use my extensive horticultural knowledge to care for their gardens and more than 10 gardens and natural areas throughout their park district parks. The care is reciprocated, of course.
I am a bit obsessed with plants (if you haven’t noticed) and cannot learn enough about them.
